Presenter Registration

Thank you for you interested in supporting the implementation of this conference. You are invited to submit a proposal to be a presenter at the 2008 Leadership Conference. This invitation is extended to develop an exciting, inspirational, and informative program for students and the HSU community. We welcome submission from faculty, staff, students and community members.

Workshop Times

Concurrent workshop sessions should be about 75 minutes in length and include time for audience participation; questions and answers. Presentations need to be culturally sensitive and inclusive/understanding of the various cultures and identities of conference participants. We will provide you with an estimated number of attendees; however you should plan on providing 5 – 10 extra copies of your handouts. Support for the printing of your supplemental materials may be available with prior notice to conference organizers.

Presenter Expenses

Presenters are strongly encouraged to stay for the full conference and be an integral part of the learning, sharing and growing we hope to create. Your conference registration fees will be waived.

Workshop Format

This part of the proposal will be used to inform participants about the expected presentation/facilitation style.

  • Knowledge/Information Sharing – Lecture type format with minimal participants input except for question posing, clarification, etc.
  • Skills Development – Imparting of diverse, significant and tangible skills to developing current and future leaders.
  • Collaboration/Organizing – These workshop will provide a high degree of participant involvement in using there skills to organize, plan and implement events, movements, campaigns, etc. We welcome organizations to use this space the furthering of your organizations agenda so long as that agenda is in line with the conference goals and purpose.
