Proposals for

2009 Social Justice Summit

Is there an issue that you are passionate about? Do you want to mobilize people to work for change? Do you have direct action skills that you can share with others? Do you want to share your social justice expertise, research, best practices? If your answers are YES! then we invite you to submit a workshop proposal for the 2009 Social Justice Summit –

"Art for Social Change"
Discovering the art in your activism; discovering the activism in your art!

The 2009 Summit organizers are calling for dynamic, interactive workshops that will be divided into two segments: KNOWLEDGE SHARING and SKILL SHARING. In the KNOWLEDGE SHARING workshops, we will work together to identify and educate ourselves on the change we need in our communities. Then in the SKILL SHARING workshops, Artists/Activists will teach and share their skills in order to empower participants with immediate, hands-on tools that can be used to reclaim spaces, empower communities, and work for social justice and change.
