Student Support Services Program Eligibility

General Eligibility

To be eligible for the SSS program at Humboldt, you must meet all of the following requirements.

  • Be a citizen or national of the United States or meet the residency requirements for Federal student financial assistance.
  • Be enrolled at HSU in the next academic term.
  • Have need for academic support as determined through review of your SSS application.
  • Meet low-income, first-generation, and/or disabled student criterion.

First-Generation and Low-Income Criterion

In general, the criteria for first-generation status means that neither of your parents have received a baccalaureate degree.

The criteria for low-income means your family's taxable income for the preceeding year did not exceed 150 percent of the poverty level amount.
